In Wisconsin, there more than 200 K-9 officers trained to apprehend fugitives, detect illegal substances, track and rescue missing individuals, control crowds and respond first to emergency situations that put their lives at risk each day. As a special reward for these hardworking K-9 officers in the greater Milwaukee area, The Lavender Leash will provide annual memberships including bi-monthly subscription boxes through a contribution from the Stan Lee Kass K-9 Fund.

Through their bi-monthly subscription boxes delivered right to the recipient’s doorstep, The Lavender Leash aims to not only protect but also provide a little pampering for dogs. The highly researched, tested and approved treats, toys and other treasures included are free of synthetic ingredients, fillers and unsafe elements not suitable for consumption or play.

“K9 police dogs are often the first ones sent into harms way,” said Dr. Marla Lichtenberger, Founder of the Wisconsin Police Canine Vest Foundation (MECA Foundation). “When off duty, the gifts provided in The Lavender Leash boxes will offer the perfect opportunity to reward the K-9 officers and allow them to relax, indulge and play with their families.

The Lavender Leash was founded by Jennifer Bartolotta in September 2015 to support pet owners and the challenges faced when wading through the semi-regulated pet food and treat industry. The company’s focus is on the critical work of researching, testing and approving products so dog owners and organizations working with canines can be confident in the safety and quality of the items provided.
